Fly Ruben Graphite Pedal @ $35
These new plastic pedal are new compound out of a special blend of nylon and fiber glass that FLY call “graphite” featuring a micro knurled concaved body with 10 molded square pins per side for maximum traction. This pedal is harder than the material currently used on other plastic pedals. These new pedals are only 1mm. thicker than the aluminum ones on each side so the feeling is the same as the alumium ones.

The Macneil gauge plastic pedals are concaved platform pedals molded from a high grade polycarbonate with 10 molded pins per side, 2 molded traction pads for extra grip, chromoly spindle, and laser-etched Macneil logos.

Odyssey JC/PC Pedal @ $55
The JC/PC also uses an assembly that few pedals have used. Instead of the traditional spindle and bolt through a solid body, the JC/PC is a sandwich. Two mating plastic sides sandwich around the spindle with no bearings. The self lubricating plastic rotates around a thicker spindle. The two sides are held together by 16 metal pins (8 per side), thus solving the grip problem that plagues all plastic pedals. When you grind a pedal down, typically the rest of the pedal is still good, but you have to throw it all away. The sides of the JC/PC are replaceable. So instead of replacing an entire pedal, you just need to use one new plastic side.
